START CREATING

Build with MapleStory.

It's already made: characters, monsters, backgrounds, music, and effects, all official MapleStory IP, all yours to build with. You bring the idea, and it looks like a real MapleStory game from the first minute.

MapleStory characters building a city out of giant coloured blocks: one carries a block across a plaza, another climbs a ladder up a half-built tower, with mushroom and cat companions helping and castles rising in the background

You're not building alone. Ask questions, show what you're making, and get unstuck with the other builders.

FAQ

What is MapleStory Vibe Camp Season 2?
A four-week game jam where you build games using MapleStory IP. Taking place in MSU Space on Verse8, it lets you bring your ideas to life using MapleStory's full asset library, including characters, monsters, backgrounds, and music.
I can't code. Can I still join?
Yes, that's exactly the point of Vibe Camp. With vibe coding, you simply describe the game you want ("I want to make a game like this"), and the AI builds it with you.
When does it start and end?
Season 2 is live now. Game submissions close on September 15 at 06:00 UTC. The winners will be announced on October 8.
Who can participate?
Anyone. Developer or not, if you love MapleStory and want to make a game, you're welcome. Teams can join too, but each game must be submitted under a single account, and the representative account must complete identity verification (KYC) if selected as a winner.
How do I participate?
After logging into MSU Space on Verse8, create a game using MapleStory IP and submit it through the submission form before the deadline, 06:00 UTC on September 15. The Verse8 Discord and Verse8 on X both post the submission form link.
Is there an entry fee?
No, it's free. You'll need credits to build, and an MSU Builder account connected to Verse8 gets a free credit allowance that resets every week. Connect your account before you build.
Can I really use MapleStory assets?
Yes, and we hope you will. You're free to draw on MapleStory's asset library, including characters, monsters, backgrounds, and music. Your game must be built with MapleStory resources. Browse the asset library or read the asset search guide to see what you can use.
What tool should I use to build?
Build inside MSU Space, Verse8's MapleStory IP vibe coding environment. The MSU docs cover setup and the asset guides, and the Builder Forum is where builders trade tips.
Can one person submit multiple games?
Yes. Each game you submit is judged on its own and can win on its own, so entering more than one only adds chances. One game can take one top prize, so if you want to win twice, enter twice. The full prize breakdown is published on August 18.
I entered Season 1. Can I submit the same game again?
If it fits the theme, yes, and since the camp runs four weeks, it's worth polishing it further rather than resubmitting it as is. One limit: a game that won The Campfire, The Base Camp, The Summoner, or The Top Traffic Games in Season 1 cannot take any prize in Season 2. Every other Season 1 game can, including one that took The True Camper. If you're not sure, the Season 1 winners page lists every award and which games won them.
How do I get Verse8 credits?
Connect your MSU Builder account to Verse8. You'll get a free credit allowance that resets every week. A Builder account is not the same as the account you use to play MapleStory N. If you don't have one yet, sign up for a Builder account first. To connect your MSU Builder account with Verse8: 1. Click 'Get started' on MSU Space. 2. Agree to the 'Terms & Application' on the Creator program page, then click 'Connect your MSU Builder account' under the Credit Refill policy. 3. Click 'Connect with MSU Builder' on the MSU Builder banner.
Can I keep updating my game after the deadline?
Yes, and we'd love to see you do it, but plan the timing carefully. You won't know exactly when your game gets played during judging, and we score whatever version is live at that moment. So aim to have a finished, working game ready by 06:00 UTC on September 15, and treat anything after the deadline as extra polish. Full judging criteria are published on August 18.
How are prizes paid out?
Prizes are paid in NXPC (Nexpace token). Each USD amount is converted at NXPC's daily closing price against the US dollar on Binance for the day the winners are announced (October 8), applied identically to every winner.
